Emily's Run & Walk Info Page

Emily's Run and Walk is a fund raiser for Spinal Cord Research. Emily's Walk has been held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway each year since 1997 in honor of Emily Hunt, the little girl who became spinal cord injured at the age of four in an accident  at Old Indiana Fun Park. Over the past seven years, this event has attracted more than 14,500 people and raised over 1.5 million dollars for spinal cord research.
NEW this year is the 5 Mile Competitive Run to go along with the 3 mile family walk.

RACE DAY TIMES
Sunday, September 26, 2004
7:30-8:45 AM - Registration/packet pick-up for the Run
9:00 AM - Start of 5 Mile Run
10:15 AM - Awards Ceremony for the Run

9:00 AM - 11:00AM - Registration/packet pick up for the Walk
11:00 AM - Start of the Family Walk

LOCATION
All events will take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - enter into the Speedway at the main gate off of 16th Street Gate (Gate 2) - follow directions once inside of the Speedway - FREE PARKING!

AWARDS
The top overall finishers (male & female) in the 5 mile run will receive gift certificates ($100, $75 and $50).
In addition, awards will be presented to all age group (minimum 3 deep in each 5 year category).

ENTRY FEES
Advance registration for the run and walk is $20.00 - There is a family fee of $50 for the Walk event.
